The international Sofia Singer Songwriter Fest is to take place for the eighth time on October 5th and 6th 2024. The event starts at 18:30. The venue is „Swingin’hall”, where talented Bulgarian and foreign artists, who will present their original songs, will perform in the cozy atmosphere.
Twelve artists will compete in the two evenings – a semifinal and a final – and the three-member jury comprised of Plamen Sivov (Tochka BG), Vasko Gromkov (the Bulgarian National Television) and a special foreign guest will assess the performances based on the following criteria: music, lyrics, vocals, playing skills and stage presence. There will be recitals by previous festival winners, as well as a rich pre-party program.
Тhe 8th edition of Sofia Singer Songwriter Fest is dedicated to Simon & Garfunkel – legendary duo, formed in the late 50s, that influenced singer-songwriters for decades. In 2024, we celebrate the 55th anniversary of the composing of the song “Bridge over troubled water” by Paul Simon. Artists of the festival will pay tribute to Simon & Garfunkel by performing this hymn at the grand finale.

Sofia Singer Songwriter Fest will feature also a rich warm up program on 2,3,4 October at Art Club Sofia, as well as afterparties at McCarthy’s Irish Pub on 4, 5 October.
